It‘s just how they have awaken me,

revealing what I really am,

how the past has shaped me,

my own darkness,slowly killing me inside.

Tears flood my face,

until my skin feels acid-burnt,

they flow abundantly,

I wish they would nurture a weak seed,

or should I cry till a new ocean is created?

If it’s a yes,

then there will be creatures,

my tears is the habitats of new lives,

the lives that‘s born from distress,

leading to a new hope.

This artwork was created while I was listening to "How You Remind Me" by Avril Lavigne. The lines Isaw from the song seemed sad and drained of color, so I set out to breathe life into them by infusing color where there was once only gray and sorrow. — Lukso Jiang.
